Youth Mental Health: Current Landscape and Key Opportunities for Schools

This presentation will describe trends in youth mental health before, during and after the Covid-19 pandemic, both nationally and in Arkansas. We will explore factors contributing to the rise in mental health concerns. We will discuss strategies to build positive mental health in all students and support students at risk for mental health concerns. We will also describe evidence-based treatment options for children and families. Finally, we will share a range of local resources related to mental health promotion, prevention and treatment.

Implementing Behavior RTI: A Year of Transformation

This session will delve into the implementation of Behavior RTI at Hurricane Creek Elementary, part of the Bryant School District. The Behavior Team will share their step-by-step approach to creating and sustaining a school-wide positive behavior support system. Participants will learn how this data-driven model has significantly improved overall student behavior, reduced Tier 1 and 2 infractions, and decreased the number of Tier 3 office referrals within a single school year.
